I
thought pigs had a better chance of flying than boats did, but thanks
to Doi Malingris invention of the Flying Inflatable Boat pigs
are gonna be the last of the two to become airborne. I dont
know when the idea came about in his mind, maybe all those times
rounding the horn through mountains of swell on a sailboat he wished
was flying. For whatever reason Im glad its here because
as a water lover youll never find a better way to escape.
Polaris Motor first manufactured the FIB in 1987 and their idea
was to make a seaworthy boat that could land and take off where
the smaller conventional float plane types could not. So the plan
was not to make a plane float, but to make a boat fly.
With its extremely successful safety record, versatility in
conditions, wide range of uses, and years of experience the FIB
is the best selling ultralight of its kind with over 1200 flying
worldwide. There used for special missions by the Navy Seals of
Singapore, The Discovery Channel, GreenPeace, Toyota, The Cuban
Government and even for research by universities. So dont
limit yourself to only flat water or worse expose yourself to the
dangers of landing a pontoon system in rougher waters, fly the FIB!
